The Philosophy

Amaris was born after a long seven years of Saturnic lessons that probed a sharp cultivation of self inquiry. Saturn is the disciplinarian of the zodiac , the hard task master, the teacher of tough lessons pertaining to responsibility and longevity. I first stumbled across astrology on a maiden voyage to New York City. I had grown a penchant for reading the sun sign predictions at the back of the daily paper but knew very little beyond that small scope. As the astrologer across from me reflected the data in my natal chart back to me, I felt visible for the first time in my life. The intrepid path I had been trekking didn’t feel like a wrong turn, no matter how challenging it had been. It wasn’t until 2020, that my passion for studying the sky really took flight, and in the midst of the loneliness and terror that marked that year, I found a small, flickering flame of hope that has flourished into an eternal search for truth.

As I sought out understanding the ever evolving language etched across the sky, and marveled in the sheer magic of its infinite quality, I began to understand the world from a completely different vantage point. Teamed with time spent with a shamanic healer, a key directive to unlocking parts of myself that were previously obscured, I began to establish a sense of belonging and safety in the world.

The notion of remembering and connecting has been suppressed by the colonizer’s demolition dream, but we never truly forget where we have come from. To be ‘spiritual’ is to be aligned with one’s spirit. How can this be achieved unless we are aware of the condition of our inner worlds? Coming into alignment with our path and purpose is a series of remembering the wisdom held deep within in our cerebral fluid. This isn’t always an easy feat. The rejection of the self can be entrenched within generations of familial bonds, where hatred and fear have become the driving forces that desecrate the synergistic nature of creation. True freedom comes from knowing thyself, trusting thyself and feeling safe in one’s body.

The starry vault of heaven is in truth the open book of cosmic projection.

~ Carl Jung

When I planted my pain in the field of patience it bore fruit of happiness.
