Love is the sunrise

In Greek tragedy we find a love story based on iambic trimeter, which by very definition, implies resolution. Astrologically we find Venus, planet of love, values and earthly pleasures ruling over the constellation of Libra, representative of the equality and balance that relationships must have in order to thrive, the six of pentacles, the give and take, the reciprocity, the you and I, the me and you into the eternal fountain of ever giving, ever flowing, and ever abundant love. She also happens to co-rule the constellation of Taurus, which finds delight in stability, perseverance, deep ignition of sensuality, indulgence in earthly, material boons, and celebratory artistic expression. The warmth and joy of sharing intimacy with another human being.

The human heart is truly remarkable. Researchers have unearthed the oldest remnant of heart materia to be ~380 million years prior to our existence. The intelligence sown into this organ allowed life to grow and thrive and multiply. It endured, as our ancestors endured, as we do, and as generations to come will live and love and prosper. It is far greater than that of the brain, for

“Love is the sunrise while thought only a flashing light” ~Rumi.

As we allow ourselves to fall deeper and deeper in love with our existence, with the miracle of life, with the bliss of another, we allow ourselves to gently grow, expand, float, bask, restore, regenerate and start to thrive as an entirely new creation. There is nothing quite as profound as the healing love of a healthy relationship.

In the Greek language we find seven iterations for word “love”.

Eros, or erotic, passionate love
Philia, or friendly, affectionate love
Ludus, or playful, flirtatious love
Agape, or universal love for the world
Pragma, or love that withstands the test of time
Storge, or unconditional, familial love

Finally Philautia, or self love; love of the self. We are only able to connect with and understand others as deeply as we are able to connect with and understand ourselves.

The relationships we have in our lives so often make or break the quality of our experiences. Who we choose to adorn our romantic worlds and deck out our social circles with create a vibratory frequency to which we match and attune with. In other words, who we associate with, who we keep company with matters. These people form the tapestry of our lives, influence the chartering of our paths, create resonance and act as mirrors that reflect the landscape of our inner worlds. With this awareness at the forefront of our minds, the most poignant question to pose is, what is the condition of your inner world? The answer to this question in turn informs what we magnetise into our periphery. Love, indeed, begins and ends with the self.

Our anima, composed of the flowing rivers of yin and yang running through each of us that shape the divinity of our spirits yearns for connectivity by way of deep healing. To heal translates to “to make sound, or whole.” Perhaps we were never meant for another person to complete us, perhaps relationships were always meant to be complimentary energy to aid us in finding the courage to complete ourselves.

Who we choose to flow with, heal with, share your life and create with is of utmost importance for the wholeness of your soul. Our relationships becomes the brush with which we shade the colours of our lives, the tones with which we compose the symphony of our stories.
